Maybe the dog that you see is like an inkblot, reflecting your inner state today.

I am sure that we had Mighty Mouse, then Underdog, then Mighty Mouse again today.

Actually, Jon's reference comes from the Canadian Medical Association Journal whose December edition is always pure satire. Sadly, some found it necessary to criticize this article. I have printed this article and given it out to many patients and medical students.

I did not see the comment on the satirical nature of the December CMA journal at first. What's REALLY sad is that up to then I thought the article was for real. I have seen worse.

That article is hilarious!
Thanks to Jon and Bert for providing today's fun. Maybe we should have a forum just for fun and jokes.
OK, Jon, Leslie is now feeling angelic, what do you see today?

By Users For Users gone again??

And, Bert is trying to confuse us, some days Mighty Mouse, some days Underdog?

Many of us are suffering from Multiple Avatar Disorder. Any psychiatrists available?

Now if you could just explain what the "Users" tag appearing and disappearing means...

And speaking of MAD, it looks like you are a fellow sufferer with Bert. But if you had to change, you made the right choice!

There is a reason for its leaving.

And, I have never deleted an entire thread. I think you are confused, since I changed its name.

Mean-spirited is one thing, an all out swear-word tirade against a SPECIFIC person. I have only seen that twice.

Many of you except likely Leslie missed the EMR Updates posse coming to our board when Al Borg took sanction here. It was viscious. But, we let it go on.

Bert,
I am not sure I understand your post, are you upset?

I suspect that the phrase was eliminated since AC staff must be planning to participate on the board. I noticed that they are our newest board members. So,it appears it will not be just users anymore.

My comment about MAD was just having some fun with the fact that we have all tried different avatars recently. I think you are right, Leslie, it is highly contagious!

There doesn't seem to be as much to talk (or complain) about since Version 6 has been improved.

Nope, not mad at all. Although, some do misunderstand me hence the whole board thing. Again, can't be explained.

Response to Steven, in no way mean spirited, just in case his comment was about me. Even if it were, I don't think he meant it meanly. Just stating that while I have screwed some threads up trying to move them, I have never purposely deleted a thread, nor have I seen AC delete or censor a post.

I am just very anti-censorship, so I would be against censoring most things. Also, the other comment about others is over most people's heads that could never be explained on the board.

Being the vicious little weasel that I am, and always looking for fresh ideas, I tried to find some of those flame wars to study. Alas, I missed them, but I did get to read a bunch of posts about AC version 4 getting too complex. it makes great reading.

David,

Go over to the board on EMR Updates. Would be interesting to see their comments on AC over the past four months.

Look at the admins/owners and search them on here. Talk about good reading.

Inspired me to write a parody on The Night Before Christmas, one of the threads I lost when moving. It was a classic. Ask Leslie.

Since this thread has been rejuvenated, I have noticed several posts by David I wish to comment on. No offense either, just difference of opinion.

First, I think the lack of tech support on the board would in no way show an attitude of not caring. Personally, I would rather get help from you or JBS and go through proper channels for tech support.

I do feel the board should be be Of The Users, By the Users and For the Users to quote Abraham Lincoln.

I think the presence of AC staff as moderators on SOME threads and not others makes little sense.

These mods are not to help but more to observe so that what happened before (missing the unhappiness with v6) doesn't happen again. The pendulum always swings too far and, as you predict with pickles to whatever, I predict that soon tech support will frequent the board less, although they will remain as mods. There are still tech support not visible with full admin powers.

Well said Bert. This is one of the major advantages of AC over other EMR's. Like minded small business people, trying to be most efficient fiscally and appreciative of the creative problem solving of others, in the same boat. That said, I do like that the AC staff has an ear to this forum so that they can clear up any misconceptions re: the program and plans, as well as release dates for upgrades/newer versions.

Good points, Bert

smile So, now I have points that are worth rebutting, just because I made the top posters group, eh? Reminds me of the first time I got to fly an aircraft that cruised above 18,000 ft, in so called class A controlled airspace where all the "big boys" fly. All of a sudden I was talking to a whole different set of air traffic controllers from those that dealt with the low altitudes of "indian country" and little airplanes, and I was suddenly expected to really know what I was doing. It was a shock. I landed in a sweat.

Can I delete about 100 or so of my posts to drop back into the weeds?

So, David, with your new status, you need to take on an avatar.

Might I suggest an image, "vicious little weasel"?. Animals are quite popular.

It's kind of dull around here presently;please go ahead and post something nice and controversial. grin
