Is anyone else just going nuts trying to find a modifier in the new V6? Why are they out of order?!!

I second the above. Modifier -25 is about 4 screens down. I cannot type the numbers in, with or without the hyphen.

Just one of the annoying new developments!

I agree, It takes too long to search the modifiers. And I am disappointed that my request for a modifier EP is not included so I have to print a paper hcfa and manually add EP to all vermont medicaid well childs or the claim is denied. Why can't we just type them in??

I have called on this issue as it also drives us nuts. They told me that it is probably in the order that we use them in. No way is that right. I see no reasoning behind the order at all.

Another thread refers to the online community as "AC for Dummies" so here is the dumb question:
Where do I find the modifiers in Amazing Charts?

I will add my complaint about this. I have only used two modifiers since starting AC in 2006. -25 and -SL. My billing folks have never asked for any other. Though still using v5, I have to page down 9--NINE--screens of the drop-down menu to get -SL. For 4 vaccines, that's 36 clicks. For many visits, I have to do this 4 or even 5 separate times for just one patient encounter. Why can't I populate the menu with stuff I use? This is an annoyance, and I can't imagine a difficult programming problem.

When coding a visit (for example, after you click "Sign it" on a note) the coding screen opens. The cpt's you select for the visit will appear in Step 4 at the bottom. The second column in step 4 is where you select the modifiers. Click the down arrow at the top of the column and the list appears.

I've been doing this. But it is mighty annoying to click so many times to get the modifiers I use most often. 4 clicks (of a page down in the drop-down menu for modifiers) to get -25 and 10 clicks to get -SL.

Shouldn't there be some way for me either to put the modifiers in order of my using them, or to simply eliminate the ones I never use and don't apply to my profession?

If you select "Click here to select multiple modifiers" (first line), then choose modifier A, the modifiers are in order numerically. You don't need to enter multiple modifiers to use this.
