Don't know how many of the non-Ped/FP docs this affects, but...
In Version 6 (I am using 6.0.9) in the search section under demographics, you can no longer search for the parent.
In Version 5 there was a tab for parent/spouse. When they changed the section in V6 it was eliminated.

Next of kin tab has ability to link pt with spouse, siblings,parents and i believe you can add contact info for different parents.

Yes but if you are trying to look up a parent, you cannot
