I authorized payment for the $500 technical support just before they raised the prices for the 2 year term. It was up for renewal yesterday and the expiration date on the card had recently changed so it was declined. Now AC says I must pay the new rate of $995 per year. It is the same card, I don't think a change in expiration date should nullify a legitimate agreement. Very disappointed in the management at AC.

I agree with you. As I said in the thread Jon referred to, I find the policy a bit unrealistic.
I think the price should go up and people should pay for it. If there is to be a graduated payment system, that is OK as well.
