I'm sure there's a setting somewhere that I am just missing, but how do I make the settings I choose stay permanent between uses?

Here's what's happening. I run spell check when I close out a note. But the option for "ignore mixed-case words" is always deselected, so I have to open options and select it each time I start to spell check. I am looking for a way to ensure that this option remains chosen.

I'm using 6.0.9

Thanks in advance.

The ignore mixed case toggle has never worked.

Spell check in general has not been a strength.

I checked with support, and there is no way to make the spell check settings permanent. I have to set options each time.

It's certainly not a selling point for AC, but in general I find the spell check helpful and generally quick to run through before saving a note.

My feeling is that the spell checker is as much a liability as a help, as far as time management. It does not come pre-loaded with medical terminology, which should be a prerequisite when part of an EMR. Plus, the inability to handle mixed case words, combined with the recent proliferation of med names such as predniSONE, is a significant flaw.
