AC will not print the secondary insurance number in the secondary insurance field of the CMS 1500. It will print only the "group" number. To get around this glitch, we input the insurance number in both the insurance field and also in the "group" field, with or without the group number in parenthesis.

We have noted this since we started using AC to generate CMS forms 2 years ago. I have notified AC rep by phone and emails, and get no response. Then one of their rep told me to email one of the programmer, which I did, and still get no response.

Do you have any idea when this simple fix, swapping variables, will be done? Apparently, the communication to AC is not getting to the people who mattered.

We need help with this too. The secondary insurance ID number does not appear in exported files (837 fields format) or on the CMS1500 forms. Were also using a similar workaround. We put the insured ID# in the Group field seperated by a slash. This way both ids show up in the secondary group field.

Will AC address this issue soon? Its important to be able to submit claims with the secondary id and group numbers properly.

Please submit this as a bug report! That is the best way to get their attention.

I just received an email from AC concerning 2 bugs reports that I submitted, informing me that they had been able to reproduce both errors and had submitted it to the "team" to be corrected. So at least I know that someone knows about it.
