Well, so far so good with AC. Now I'm getting ready to start scanning some documents into AC, but I'm concerned about taking up too much memory. Is PDF the correct way to store them, or can I use bitmap? It looks like the files can be saved in a much smaller package with bitmap versus PDF. I have a brother MFC 7420 printer/scanner I was planning on using to scan. Any better recommendations? Any help is appreciated.

Use black and white, not grayscale 200 x 200 or maximum 300 x 300 dpi
Yes, save to PDF. Play around with different PDF creators, some are smaller than other, some compress better.
Do a search about PDF to see several different PDF creators, other than Acrobat.
I use cutePDF and PDFRedirect, as well as Acrobat. There are other goods ones as well.

PDFs are easier to manage. Bitmaps are single page documents. PDF has become the standard for document exchange. If you're going for high volume use, you may want to consider getting a document scanner.
