Whenever we print out a summary of the patients visit,we are getting an additional 5+ pages of the CCD. I have found a checkbox to select to include/not include the CCD, but it defaults to "include." Is there a way to change this default so the default is "not include."

The CCD looks rather useless anyway. Alot of general data, but no real information concerning the current visit.

The CCD is useless, but printing it and giving to patients or sending to a PHR/flash drive is one of the meaningful use criteria. I printed up a one paragraph letter detailing for the pt. the fact that it is useless and have been giving them out - I append this to the summary letter. If you have a PHR which interfaces or can be used with AC you can send to the PHR which does the same thing without paper.

I am currently working on integrating a patient funded PHR (yearly fee) and have been slowly adding patients to that which has been great for sending the CCD and doing that MU Criteria.
