I have been looking into this program. I have already done searches on it already. Can anyone who uses this program tell me their experiences? Is it worth it?

I'm hoping to have this going in the next month or so -- so I'll keep you posted. The demo they did for me made it look very helpful, so we'll see. Fairly nominal fee for the service so hoping it also helps with the office check in process/flow.

I thought it was great. Free then. But, my receptionist didn't like it or use it. And, she always wins out. smile

Did get a free wireless router out of the deal.

Yeah, it was Phree at first.

So Bert, you liked it? How was the section where it asked the patient for their symptoms, etc? Was to really verbose like instant medical history?

We used it in my rural Georgia peds office for a few months. The patients were not computer literate, so I boxed it up.

I did a demo with the company recently. They tell me that they can adapt questions to your needs but I am wondering if this is true? Are they as simple as they say to make questions?

As with any practice, we tend to have a wide range of techno patients and patients that I know will not touch it. We have a large Cuban population but the Phreesia rep said that it will ask questions in Spanish as well and then convert back to English to transfer to Amazing Charts or print out. Anyone have experience with this option?

I actually use Phreesia and have been for the last 21 months. I started my practice Aug 24th 2009 and Thnk that Phreesia was up and running three to four weeks later!

Here is the deal:

You can design the questions. There are certain things that are required (demographics, some of which get preloaded when you add the demographics to AC). Also The nice thing is that when you buy the integration between Phreesia and AC, when you load your schedule, it automatically loads into Phreesia. So when patient A, b , c come to the office your staff puts in your pass word and the schedule is loaded already and you jst pick the name of the patient to check in. they fill it out, and they sign it. The hippa form is on there. I worked with phreesia so that the it knows when the last form was signed..so if greater then 12 months, it automatically makes them resign the hippa form.

Now for the questionaire, you can limit or expand it as much as you want. I do sports med so for knee pain it asks certain quetsions, for head injury/concussions it asks a different set of a questions, etc. . .

The issue comes in when you have someon there for two problems. SO in my case if someone comes in for knee pain and shoulder pain, the questionaire will only ask about "pain" in general once they ask the specific questions of clicking, weakenss, etc. . .trying to work with them...so i am not sure how it would work with HTN and DM..it can ask all the questions, it just doesn't send them onto the form. . .if you call and they say otherwise please let me know. . .

In general this is an amazing alternative to those five page written sheets where you can't read half the patients handwriting anyway. . .which is a joke. . .and i have medicare patients who all do the form as much as they hate it. . .they are working on a online version so that patients can check in from hoem but that release won't be till late 2011 or early 2012. . .

yes i have extensive knowledge on phreesia cause i use it daily and have been using it and have worked with them a lot on tailoring my phreesia to my practice. . .for the first 14 months of practice i was ALL ALONE without a desk person . . .

the nice thing is that you can either have it print out to your default printer or a PDF. ..mine goes to a PDF on my server.. .my front desk person saves all the phreesia things for new patients (or patients who haven't been in for 6 months) into the imported items...then if it makes the patient do a new hippa form, she clips the hippa form page and saves that into our charts as well. . .

we also have a form on all new patient visit and on once a year with hippa that if i send you to PT or work with the school Athletic trainers, that they can pick if i am allowed to talk about the injury to the school ATC's/club atcs...YOu can have any form on there...

the one thing i wish it would let me know is have a consent form where even after checked in if i am gonna do a procedure it would let me go into the system and say injection or whatever proecedure form and allow them to sign it...then that can be a pdf and can save me time and money from getting a signature pad and all that jazz.

okay i think i babbled on this so far...please ask any specific questions or we can talk on the phone as well!

Gee Ketan,

I am going to have to reevaluate Phreesia. I knew you were the king of Phreesia, but you have showed me several things. They came to my office and set it up, I went through all the paper work and really have not used it much. There were default templates that took 45 minutes and were useless, were not in the system for days. They were supposed to implement in my other office but stopped probably because my CC use was low.

I may need to connect with them and reactivate using it. I still have all the hardware. Actually it has only been about a year. They took forever to set it up. When I connected with the rep at the last ACUC, finally things started to happen.

Customer support has been nonexistant. But then, I have not pushed the issue either.

Oh, BTW,

It was supposed to import demographics into AC, did that ever work?

Has anyone had success or considered asking Phreesia to make it available for information obtained on pad to drop into note. I did a demo with them however it is not helpful for me to have the PDF document. I tried to copy and paste it but it does not look good. I would rather the info drop in like instant medical history. I love the concept of Phreesia but from the sounds of it my rep does not know of this feature. Any other solutions. I want patients to do intake forms at home or in waiting room without having to print them out, it is a waste of paper.

Yes, i wish for a good solution on this. My patients still have to fill out a 3 page demographics and medical history on PAPER, which my staff has to type into AC

Wendell,

I love your new avatar. I think all of us on this board have spent a lot of hours howling at the moon!
