I was told that the G8443 code is no longer used, but the G8553 code is required for eRX.

However, I can not find it in amazingchart... Is it something you have to add manually?

It is listed in Version 5.1.7. If you have not updated your Amazing Charts version, then you can add it manually as follow:

In the main window, press 'Control A' to get to the admin options, or, at the top of the screen, go to View > Administrator Options > Enter Password > Tools > Modify CPT Database (Modify Available Codes) > Enter the CPT Code, price it ($0.00) name it whatever you want (Medicare e-RX is what we called it in our previous version). You can then add this to your quick codes list as well, also editable through admin options.

When I "check for updates," AC tells me that I have the most up to date version. I have version 5.0.29. Why is this?

Later versions of AC are still Beta versions. I am in the same boat as you Laura. Still waiting for the word that all of the major bugs are out of Ver 6.0 before making the jump.
