I would like to create a mailing (yes, snail mail )to my patients. I should be able to export names and addresses, but I've not been able to figure it out. If this has been talked about, please excuse the question. I've not been able to find the answer in a search. Many thanks from the rainy Washington coast. Barbara

AC does have a mailing list function.
However, I like to keep my mailing lists in an Access Database, with exports from AC. It contains historic patients from my other practice locations, check marks about who do not wish to receive mailings (as well as dismissed patients), consolidates families into "Family of" or sends to "Parent of". And finally, if you have a large practice and intend to bulk mail, you can scrub the AC, and therefore human entered, addresses with a third party.

To export addresses, click the "Reports" button. Then click "Common Searches" in the upper left corner of the screen, select "Newsletter" from the list, and "Run Report". This gives a report of unique household addresses. You can then export this and import into Excel or whatever you wish for your mail merge database.
