I would like to recommend a couple suggestions for the practice rolodex.
1. Give an option to add a website address. 2. Give an option for cell phone number. 3. Give the ability to print the physician's information with the option to hide the email, cell phone and/or comments section so this could be given to the patient upon referral.
As the office manager, this would be a great help to our staff when handling the patient's check-out.
Thanks!

I agree. Also we need to be able to search by specialty.

Say Amen to these suggestions. It would be great to be able to print out a list to give to patients of physicians in a particular specialty. Many of our patients like to research their options before proceeding with a consult that's not of an urgent nature. We would want the list to include address and phone but not email or cell.

Well, I just found the way to search by specialty but it has to be done within a patient's chart. Go to orders, then referrals tab. Just under the little guy on the left there is a line which includes "sort by specialty".

But it doesn't make sense you can only do it from a patients chart. It also doesn't make sense that you can't just import a CSV or excel file into the rolodex, but you can export the rolodex.

I missed it too, Dave. And this was one of my top wishes! I agree, Ketan, it should be accessible from the main Rolodex page.

I wish that it were possible to edit a rolodex entry then save it as a new entry. I not only have practices with several individuals who need entering, but also some buildings with the same address and multiple practices. Has anyone found a work-around rather than retyping everything? DrBecky Rebecca955 Family Practice Western Springs IL

Post has been removed due to violation of AC user board policy.

Is this ok, Bert? Not sure we want a lot of marketing on this UB. Besides, we already have a rolodex.

Thanks Bill. No it is not OK. At the very least, it should have been posted in the vendor section, but even there it is not necessarily appropriate.
I am not sure what the criteria is to be accepted to the board.

I apologize to all, whom I offended. Second, Bert, you are right. "At the very least, it should have been posted in the vendor section." I didn't know. I'm seeing the cry here.
I respect your monitoring of the UB, but I didn't think you would have completely removed it. I, believe Dr. Bertman should make the final decision in removing anything threatening to the UB.
I feel I wasn't threatening to anyone, but trying help by introducing myself, and possibly, having an alternative to AC's Rolodex. Isn't this what this thread is complaining about? Making the Rolodex more useful.
So, again, I'm sorry to anyone I offended in my previous post, that Dr. Adams has completely remove. That's like me removing something you posted on an IT user board with a possible solution. And I completely remove it. How would you feel. How do I know that it could be a useful solution. Something to ponder, sir. I'm sorry for wanting to help.

Bert does an excellent job monitoring this board. Your inappropriate post is not something Jon needs to use his valuable time for.

Dose everyone else feel the same way as, Dr. Leeson? Was my previous post inappropriate? I would love to hear feedback from others. You are welcome to ask me any questions.

There is a big difference between offering a solution to improve Amazing Charts, which is what many on the board do than to try to sell a product due to a deficiency in the product.
Even your signature states you are a software designer/developer.
If Jon wishes to override my decision, then I am sure he will, but he designated me an administrator, because he trusts my judgement. As Bill said, he has better things to do.
I would not confuse being accepted to the board as tacit approval to advertise your products. And, to answer your question, I would expect to be asked to leave a forum if my very first post was an advertisement.
If you want to sell your product, then leave a one sentence statement that you have a product that could help the Rolodex and leave your email and leave it at that.

Mr. Barris, attempts to sell software that may/may not help overcome Amazing Charts current weaknesses should be placed in the Vendor section of this board. That's why it was created. Bert has volunteered to monitor this board, and does a fantastic job. Dr. Berman has other things to do. Like program Amazing Charts. Or see patients.
Most likely, we will all feel this way in abundance. Please stop attempting to discuss this issue here... it is better suited to the Vendor section. Else Bert my feel fit to ban you.

I understand that the role of vendors on this forum can be a contentious subject, with legitimate strong feelings on both sides. I can see a place for vendors here and though perhaps Mr. Barris might have something useful to add, I think he went about it in the wrong way. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, I would assume that he does not know the forum policy and posted incorrectly. In fact, I don't know where the relevant policy is posted, but I remember a thread where Bert invited a vendor to post and there was a strong reaction, leading to the creation of a separate vendor forum. Mr. Barris, I would suggest that you put a brief post about your product in the vendor forum and leave it at that. While I don't want the board to be full of spam and ads, I would hate to think that we couldn't have learned about products like Updox or Phreesia due to strict policies banning vendors.

I agree with Jon in Baltimore. I never saw the original post by Mr. Barris. . .I would like to see what his product may be in the vendor section

I accept all criticism. Thanks for your feedback. Thanks, Dr. Jon for pointing me in the right direction. I did take Dr. Adams advice and wrote one sentence in the vendors section, under the title: Rolodex Alternative. I hope that?s legitimate. Again, I am sorry for any confusion.
