How about this? You see a patient and they need an xray, etc. you go to orders put in your request then fax it to the lab or radiology or even fax an consult! Has this been discussed?
Thx

Pete:
YOu can do this if you have a efax or updox. At my office we use UpDox. I go into orders and have custom orders. I then hit print. Then i pick the updox printer interface and it goes into the workspace or i can pick where to faxx it but my assistant does that from the workspace. THen she usse that to also upload right into our AC because AC doesn't do a good job of keep the orders.

Ouch another detour. Would really save on staff time if I could fax xray, lab, consults directly from the exam room. Can we add this to the wish list? I've looked at updox. Hate to pay another vender.
Thanks Pete

You can do it. Go to orders, select your tests, referral, etc, click print, choose your fax as the printer, put in the fax number and hit print.

Sweet! Thanks Leslie. A free work around! I love you! Plantonically of course. Is that a word?

Plantonically of course. Is that a word? Platonic- is a word. A type of love that is non-sexual, such as the love of a friend. What you might feel for Leslie for helping you with this. Plantonic- not a word. If it were, it might refer to a love of someone surrounded by plants, e.g. a cornfield. Might also apply to Leslie in Southern Indiana.

Plantronic - maker of phone and bluetooth devices so that you can express you platonic feelings, or print to a bluetooth connected device. Not sure if there are Plantronic fax drivers, but it is possible. </hijack>
