Boondoc has this as part of another post: My biggest problems ....., and the fact that the chart has to be forwarded and cannot be viewed by multiple people. This brings me to a question I have. Under administrator options, I can set to "make charts read only" if they are edited by another provider. Under my preferences I can set to not display a warning that the chart is in my own or someone else's inbox. I really do not have an understanding of how this all works. Even if I get the warning that someone else has the chart, I still seem to be able to open the chart and add to it. I understand record locking, but this does not seem to be happening. Why is that alert there if I can still edit the record? And, how do I use those preferences most effectively?

David, I think your question has two parts: I think I understand part of it (the somewhat confusing "chart is in somewhat else's box" message). You know how that works, right?
The second part is the "read only" option. I have not used this or played with it, but my assumption was that if you make the chart "read only", then send it to someone, that THEY cannot edit it, but you still can. Is that correct in your experience?
