I know this is a thorn in a lot of people's side but I have a quick question. Has anybody figured out how to change the lay out of the letter? Specifically, can we lower where the date and address are placed?

Lucky no one answered. Topic of the letter writer usually causes a lot of flame posts, usually from Travis & me.

There is no way to format anything in the letter writer. It has the same degree of customization as a text editor in DOS.

You are only allowed to bring up the letter writer on Halloween.

Bert had a poll for most wanted potential improvements for AC -two of the items involved improving the letter writer -

this may be the best voice to try to move for this improvement.

Bert - is that poll still open - and if so, how can Ryanjo find it? (I couldn't)

I usually delete the automatic "Dear" adding it back into my letter templates after several line spaces,and I insert extra line spaces in my letter templates to at least have the letter look a little better laid out on the page.
