Whenever I enter data into the new Health Risk box (top right above vitals on main screen), then go back to typing in my current visit note on the main screen - the typed letters move from right to left- very annoying. I can enlarge the text box and typing works fine. Dragon is not affected. I am using Windows 2000 XP 64 bit.

Suggestions:
-stuck left arrow key or Ctrl/right shift keys (ie: faulty keyboard)? Try another keyboard.
--There are reports of a Java applet in FireFox causing this problem; are you using FF as a browser? Kill FF in the Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del), and then install the latest version of Java.
--It may help to disable right to left language options (ie: Arabic, Hebrew) In Windows XP's Control panel, open Date, Time, Language and Regional Options, choose Add Other Languages>Details. Add English (US) if it's not on the list. Click on a language(s) you want to delete then the Remove button.

In some cases, you should be able to correct backwards typing by holding down the Ctrl-left shift keys.

Are you sure you didn't give your computer a flu shot and now it can only type backwards? smile

@John Those are all great ideas, but they don't seem to be specific to AC.

@Toby After you use the HM, if you type in another editor such as notepad or Word, does the same thing happen?

Can you be more specific as to what you do in the HM window?

A picture's worth a thousand words.

There is a free program called Camstudio:

http://download.cnet.com/CamStudio/3000-13633_4-10067101.html

You can record what you are actually doing. Generally, it will make a 50Mb .avi file which compresses down to 10Mb.

If you email it to me, I can upload it for support and us to see. There are websites www.sendit.com that send larger files for free.

Hi Toby and GKMD-

Based on your post, it appears that you may have the ?Right to left reading order? enabled. To disable this, hold down the shift key and right click on the text box (HPI, CC, etc.). Click on ?Right to left reading order? this will remove the check mark and disable. Please let us know if this resolves the issue, if it does not, I would like to login and diagnose.

Thanks

Trish
