"Confidential information" is a chart section in AC notes, placed between "Physical Exam" and "Assessment". As a regular user of the magnified ("boomerized") screens, I see it all the time. My questions:
Where does the information entered there appear? Maybe it is just me, but I don't see it anywhere else. In fact, if you close the magnified view, you can't see it at all. And...it doesn't show up in the prior encounters. So where does it go? And what good is it? Does anyone use it?

Nope. Unless I am as confused as you are, I find it entirely useless.
