Two of us with separate tax id no's share AC. We share patients regularly but bill and practice separately.
I purchased AC so my name is the registered practice name, but it shows up on all my associates Rx's, reports, letters, etc. How do I remove the practice name so that each of our name appears appropriately on each of our documents.?
Thanks ahead of time for the help.

Terry, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I think you need two AC licenses. If you want to share a database, you can, but two providers and two tax ID numbers = two licenses from Jon. I think the practice name can be the same for both of you, but support will have to help you with that. frown

I presented our scenario to sales beforehand and have the correct number of licenses. It's just that we are in one database now. I'm wondering if we have to split out into two different databases or can just alter the license information and carry on.

Terry,

You can't. Your registration key is tied directly to your practice name. EXACTLY! Case sensitive as far as I know.

You can not delete that so unless you change your registration through AC so it says something that is befitting to both of you, you are stuck with what you have.

I have to agree with Jon and disagree with sales. It really has nothing to do with tax ID numbers but everything to do with the number of providers. You must have a license for each person who is practicing medicine. Please see Jon's post:

I can't help you with the name, but my recommendation would be to not post your above setup anymore as it seems as though you got a good deal.

Bert,
Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry to have been misunderstood. I do have a license for all provides and am not complaining about the good deal I have with AC.
Thankfully one of the tech folks has helped provide a solution. I'm just not clear yet where to ask questions regarding our implementation of AC, here or via tech support. Still learning on all fronts.
Thanks again for the time to reply.

Hi Terry,

Good to hear. Generally if it is a technical issue with AC, I would "ping" them. For just about everthing else, there is a wealth of information on here.

Please let us know how you fixed it. Have a great day!

Bert,
Thanks again for the time. It appears a simple fix would be to change the practice name and get AC registered there. Sounds like it takes a couple of weeks and is a simple fix.
It was probably some degree of lack of clarity and foresight on my part prior to purchase and registration, but thankfully sounds like a relatively easy fix.
Hopefully the post here will help if someone else stumbles into AC as we have!
Best wishes!

Glad it is an easy fix, and more importantly a free one!

If it's free, you have to talk to Wendell. smile That may be an inside joke, lol.
