I am wondering how other practices do the following within Amazing Charts:

1) Create a report at the beginning of each month for all patients that are due that month for their annual exam.
2) Create an "abnormals" log for all lab-work that is abnormal and needs record of follow-up within a given time frame.

For #1 we were thinking the only way would be to create a reminder at the time of the patient's annual exam to go off exactly one year later. I would think this would clutter up people's in-boxes quite a bit? Is this how other practices do this? Or is there a way to generate a report on whether a patient has had an encounter with V72.31 (routine GYN exam) within the last year (just as an example)?

For #2 we were thinking of creating another AC user called "abnormals". When a test comes back abnormal and needs re-testing or some kind of follow-up, we would create a reminder and send it to the inbox of the "abnormals" user. Then periodically, we would log in to this user account to check the log against what has or has not been done. This would serve to try and minimize inbox clutter.

How do other offices handle these things in amazing charts?

We have a dummy user "nurse" and follow ups are scheduled to show up in the inbox the 25th of the month before it is due and we have one person who logs in and and prints out recalls for upcoming month. This gives staff a week to do this.
