Hello all
I can see where I can print a collection report for a period of time, but I can't find how to generate a charges report. AC can pull a batch of individual patient bills showing charges, but does not total it.
Do you use a separate PM software?

Oh definitely. I would say the majority of AC users have separate PM software. AC only has the most basic of basics. We're told the AC PM is coming by 2011

Khaled,

There is no clean 3rd party PM software. The use of x-link or HL7 products was too quirky for my tastes.

There other users that have used 3rd party products who may be able to give you some help.

We have chosen to wait for the AC PM product.

I was told 4th quarter of 2010.

Good luck.

So how do you keep track of your charges and collections, etc.?

I think the big three (I am sure others can list more) are Medisoft, Lytec and eMedware. We use the latter; much cheaper and still very good.

I think a lot of people use Office Ally.

AND, they are on Twitter and Facebook!

PM software is all over the place. I use CollaborateMD and like it fine. It has its problems. I liked TotalMD as well. I had GE Centricity before and thought it was expensive, bulky, and actually can't do everything Collaborate can.

If AC is really coming out with a PM system, I would struggle by with something like Office Ally until we see if AC's is going to be worth a dang.

Office Ally is free and we use it just as a claims clearinghouse and use our old devil of a company PM program from Allscripts. The biggest complaint I have about Office Ally is the speed. It's slower than molasses running up hill on a frozen glacier.
