in the new version 5.0, if you already has posted no known allergies, i can not delete this, when you post allergies (codified) it still says no known allergies and then posts the allergies, the remove will not work to remove the original no known allergies, anyone else having this problem. i believe this is a pretty important glitch to fix!

What version are you using ?
In 5.026 if I have the box for NKDA checked and confirmed and then reopen allergies and then add a checkmark to an allergy or add allergy it automatically removes the checkmark from NKDA, if I have NKDA non-codified (old allergies) and I click on it and hit remove it goes away - how exactly are you trying to do this ?

You may want to try this:
- go to Write Scripts. - ePrescribing. - click Manage via NewCrop Screens. - click "No Known Drug Allergies" (in red letters) - in the next window click "delete this allergy"
Let us know if it works.

thanx Itom, that worked i dont like the idea of having to go through that on every patient that has the nkda listed because you have to fix all the other scripts before you can get into escribe, but it does work

If you don't have e-prescribe turned on you can't do this function. You can however (uck) remove the allergies that are in the allergy column until you get down to the NKDA, unselect that and then you'd have to re-add the correct allergies back in. We were having problems with the migration of the allergy from V4 was free-text and that's taken a bit to sort out how to fix.

I'm confused. How can you remove the No Known Drug Allergies? I know you can add and remove No Known Allergies without the "Drug" in it. Is there a way to remove it that I am missing?

At the conference they said that you could remove NKDA in the new crop screen. Otherwise it is a bug we pointed out to Jon that is supposed to get a fix now.

We had free text allergies from version 4 populate in the allergy section of v 5 and it would list nkda AND the codified one in version 5. We had to sort out how to get down to the free text one and remove it off to leave the codified. You can't click on the check box by NKDA, and just clicking remove didn't remove the free text that was brought over if there were any other allergies that had been added in version 5. Just a cumbersome fix we found.

I went to the new crop screen today and tried to fix/remove the NKDA but couldn't do it. Then my brother/MA reminded me that when Jon tried to fix it this way at the conference that he couldn't do it either and then said it would be fixed in 5.1. If anyone knows a way to fix this now....I'd like to hear.

I was able to remove the NKDA by deleting that allergy on the NewCrop screen. The directions are a few messages back on this thread.
