I am using AC for almost one year and just LOVE it. I am a gastroenterologist and when I sign off colonoscopy reports in Import Items section, I then creat an addendum to record the Month and Year for the next scheduled exam. This was a searchable field until I upgraded to V5. I was using this seach capability to pull the patients who are due for a procedure, one month ahead of time and then sending them a reminder letter. Somehow, V5 does not search 'Addendum' as a searchable field. I need help how to go around and be able to find the patient's info from 'Addendum'. Thank you.

Have you tried doing your search in the normal 'Encounters' section? Perhaps AC made them equivalent after allowing Addendums to be saved directly to a note.
In the future, you could send yourself reminders one month ahead of time, but also check the 'Add Addendum' box. Then you could save the addendum and you'll have a running list in your 'Reminders/Saved' box. (For anyone who hasn't seen it, click the Inbox drop-down, then click 'Saved')

I did search in 'Notes & Encounters' and then 'Any field'. But this does NOT look into 'Addendums'. I can start saving my upcoming dates into some other 'Searchable fields from now on, but how can I retrieve patient's data from Addendum and transfer into anyother field to be searchable. I think adding addendums into Search Field will resolve this issue. Any other suggestions from any one? This is critical to patient care. Bert: Can you help in this regard? Sincerely,
Qaiser

Please help me to find a way to either run Search 'Addendum' or transfer 'Addendum' to a searchable field. Inability to search through Addendum is causing serious handicap in providing care to the patient. Please help me. Anyone????
