I currently use the AC Offsite Backup utility.
However, I have been importing labs from Quest, as well as scanning in labs / x-ray reports from elsewhere.
The current size of my back up file is 90 MB. I understand that the backup utility will only upload less than 100 MB. So when I hit 100 MB (which will be soon), what should I do?
I know there is an option to not backup the imported items, but I'd rather have them backed up if possible.
Is there an option to backup larger file sizes offsite?
Thanks,
-Lee

I just looked at Bert's 5/21 post on a similar topic, so I think I have my question answered.
Thanks for writing that Bert!

Thankyou.....after your talk at ACUC I think I will finally understand enough to be confident that my system is backed up properly. Right now I think it probably isn't because of the size of the imported items files.

My backup file is now 509 MB. I back it up nightly and it saves in the AC backup folder on the hard drive. It also saves automatically to an external backup drive that came free with the computer. Further, it goes to a little USB key that I got for $40. It hold 8GB, so this technique should be good for a long time. I take the USB key home in case the business and all the hard drives are stolen or burn to the ground. This seems more than adequate for security. What do the docs with paper charts do in case of fire or theft? As far as online, offsite backup: why pay 250 dollars per year when Carbonite is only 50 dollars? I backed up 110 Gig on my home computer. Yeah, it took several days to copy it all, but then it just uploads what has changed on a continuous basis. It is all encrypted.

I'm going to second Bert on Jungle Disk; we use it to backup critical files, specifically files that we want available to any machine that is part of our backup cluster.
You may be able use Jungle Disk Personal for your purposes.
It is also more cost effective that maintaining our own hosted *nix servers for backups.
