We want to try the V5.0 version on our home laptop (windows XP)before we try it at work. When we try to run the database tuner, it says "med database is outdated, please run the amazing chart installer". TWICE we have even sought the help of the guardian angels. after several hours, they did not have an idea, however suggested removing our antivirus program, etc, but that has not worked either. Any solution/suggestions? Has anybody else encountered this problem?

Just posted about a similar problem in the general discussion section of these forums. Here is what I posted:

A question about a box that pops up while a few of our users are opening Amazing Charts -- while Amazing Charts is first loading up we encounter a dialog box informing us that our medication database is out of date and we can either hit 'Yes' to continue using the outdated database or we could hit 'No' to exit. This happens for our computers using Amazing Charts 5.0.26 while the users that have version 5.0.24 get no such message. Would updating all the users to 5.0.26 fix this problem or is there something more that I need to do? Thank you for all your help!

I'm sorry you are having that problem indira and Matt. I am not even running v5 yet, so not sure if I can help. I am thinking about it though. Of course, let me/us know if you fix it.

Matt, in general, error would come from the main computer, but even though I don't know the answer of .24 vs .26, personally I think it is always a good idea to have all the clients running the save version. For reasons just like this. Why do you not have them all updated? Is it a time issue?

Given that the meds.mdf and meds.ldf remain constant, why not move the meds.mdf and the mds.ldf from one of the clients to the main computer. You should turn off the server and/or detach the databases on the main computer first. Just an idea.

There are a couple of things you can do to fix this.

The first would be to delete the Meds database files which are the Meds.MDF and the Meds.LDF. Then run a repair on amazing charts from ADD/Remove Programs in the Control Panel. Because the Meds database is a static database, you can do this without losing any information. Of course you would want to make a backup of you database before doing this.

The other option is if the first does not work.

Make a full backup of your database and make sure you have your imported items. Then completely remove amazing charts from you computer and reinstall V5. The reason your getting this error is because it is not overriding the older database either because it does not know it is older or because it was being used and could not replace it.

If that still does not work for you, contact me at Joe@amazingcharts.com and I personally will fix this for you immediately.

Now having said the steps above. I would recommend that anyone trying these steps should contact us first. Its never a good idea to delete your database without being 100% comfortable doing so.

As for the pop up message about the out dated Meds database, this is most likely do to having the main with 5.0.24 and others with 5.0.26. We update the Meds database when making a new installer so the 5.0.26 versions are looking for a newer database and is not able to find it. I would recommend updating all of the 5.0.24 computers to 5.0.26 as it is not a good idea to run 2 different versions of amazing charts as it could end up giving you problems later on.

Appreciate you inputs.
The third time was the charm. It worked. I love the new verion. After my practice on my home laptop, I will go live with this version next week. I am still not sure what the problem was. ON one of those unsuccessful attempts, I had downloaded the new version as a new client and did not use the existing account. That may have messed it up.

Mark@AC: NewCrop just informed us that there is an outage. They are investigating, but no ETA at this time.
koby: yes what a combo new crop and AC reliable as Amazon......NOT
Mnemonic: A lot of fake stuff on Amazon, Just saying.
koby: but they take it back....NewCrops fixed
Mark@AC: Updox System Issues An update has been posted We will be taking the application offline at 4:30 PM (Eastern) to perform emergency maintenance. The application will be down for approximately 1 hour.
AmazingDave: 10/14. Multiple eRx failures. Anyone else?
JBS: eRx not working for us this morning 10/15 630am Eastern
JBS: Looks like its related to the migration - we completed it by NewCrops apparently doesnt think so
beagle: updox is downdox again, 10/15
JBS: updox back up... now if we can just reach Ac to restore eRx
DocMark: eRx is up for us but slow, unworkable
BrotherJon: eRx issue for many. New Crop and AC working on it.
ChrisFNP: yep, refills have crashed twice today
Dr M @ EmmFamPr: newcrop down for us also; and we did the migration; unable to send anything electronically

eriklloyd: 11/11/24 - Prescription failure for us. Anyone else experiencing issues?
Pinky: Yes. Prescriptions aren't going through.
beagle: anyone contact ac and get eta fix?
AMCS: Same
AMCS: This is from newcrop: New incident: Investigating We are currently investigating an error that may occur when attempting to transmit prescriptions. This is resulting in prescriptions remaining queued. Our engineers are working on resolution presently.
Bert: I am sure AC knows. It's probably a NewCrop issue and they are working on it
Pinky: It is working now. 1pm EST. 11/11/24.
Clem Surak: Is anyone else using ACPM and the EOBs are not matching up to patient accounts and the EOBs are having to be retyped into ACPM? Started a couple of weeks ago. Payer IDs are correct and match the EOB payer IDs.
tcosta: @ Clem Surak: yes, this has been going on for MONTHS in our office. We've been told it's the payers fault and it has to do with loop segments and payer response. Doesn't make sense to me, considering it's ALL the time now on multiple EOB's a week.
tcosta: It almost never used to happen and now it's constant.
tcosta: ACPM is extremely short staffed and it's taking them days to respond and fix the issue.
Clem Surak: Yes, it has been getting progressively worse. I have a ticket logged, but have not heard back, so I keep retyping the EOBs so that our accounting is up to date. Hope the migration to the new Clearinghouse fixes this issue. Thanks for the response.
Bert: Can anyone tell me where the post is from AIDevelopment
