As one who doesn't use the AC superbills and has sympathized with many who have and have difficulties with when they can do certain things with it in reference to when they sign their charts, I still have what I consider a huge issue.
I only print about three superbills a week and would have to change EMRs if I had to print a superbill for every encounter. EMRs are supposed to mimic your work flow as closely as possible. Yet, after I sign off a patient, I am always left with the window where I can print the note. THIS is when I want to print a superbill. Since, we don't print notes, my need to print a superbill at this window is much greater. But, instead, I have to close that window, right click on the patient's name, the click on superbill. Since, the MAs put the patient in at the triage area, the patient isn't even there, so I have to enter his or her name to bring them up. Wouldn't it just make more sense to print a superbill from that window.
And, why can't there be an option to make the printing of the E & M coding paragraph not show up the default. There is no need for me or my biller to see this paragraph.
Thanks.

Is there a way to add a post to your watched list after you have entered it? And, why can't that be the default with the ability to either turn it off directly from here or when you receive an email?

ok. What's the watched list?
Oh, and I think there is a way to turn off printing the coding paragraphs. I'm about to go catch my train now. I'll try to look into it tomarrow.

Yes, there is a way to turn it off. But, it is on by default. I was hoping it could be turned off by default.
As to the watched list. When you first START a post, you have the option of checking off a box, which puts that post on your watched list. When anyone adds a comment, you get an email so that you are aware of the comment. You don't have to search through all of the categories to find your post and see if anyone has added anything.
From my experience, once you forget to do it, you can't go back and add the post to your watched list. I also haven't figured out if you can put a thread on your watched list that you didn't create.
On other boards I am on, if you submit a comment to any thread, whether you are the author or not, you are AUTOMATICALLY put on the watched list. Of course, you can always remove yourself from any thread's watched list.

I agree that this is something that needs to be added. Has Dr. Bertman been told about this? Thanks Harry Alberti MD
