Yesterday I took the plunge and attempted to update from the latest V4 to V5.0.26. I failed, repeatedly getting this error message: An unspecified error occurred 3001: Application-defined or object-defined error
This happened when I attempted to use the database tuner (which would not work). Has anyone else seen this and managed to sort it out? Tech support had not seen this error and could not help me.

I had to uninstall version 4 using the Windows control panel, before installing version 5. Back up everything first.

MPC, if you need to hear from tech support right away, use the chat option thru the AC site. I had a different problem myself but I got to someone right away and got the help I needed. In the past, I had used e-mail for questions and it took a while to get a reply but if you need help quick, you can get it.

FYI - Last night I upgraded from 5.0.24 to 5.0.26 on our 9 comuters with XP pro without a problem. Thanks Amazing Charts for the good work. Lon Hatfield

I wanted to post a follow up. Last week I completed the update with Claire's guidance. She was extremely patient and helpful. She even gave me a brief tutorial for the e*prescribing and everything has been fairly smooth so far.

I have the same problem. I used version 3.7 for as long as possible since it worked great and the office was use to it. I finally decided to upgrade to V5. Everything went great but when I finally started V5 it asked me to tune the data base. I ran the tuner and got the error 3001: Application-defined or object-defined error. I restarted my computer and since I have vista made sure I ran the tuner in the administrator mode. Still have the same problem. I did put an e-mail via chat to Tech-support but it is after hours. Was hopping to get this running by tomorrow. Any suggestions?
