Is there any way to rotate imported items? I have scanned in several EKGs and was wondering if there is any way that these can be rotated 90 degrees within Amazing Charts after scanning them in. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

John,

I am not sure about other document types, but you certainly can with PDFs. Anything you can do with a PDF outside of AC, you can pretty much do inside it.

What type file are you importing to?

Bert,

I just found the answer to my question. The two ways to do this are right after scanning an item in before saving it, you have the option of rotating it before saving it. If the document already scanned in and saved in Amazing Charts, you can 'right click' on the image and can rotate it that way. Sorry to post a question that I ended up answering myself -- but I appreciate your quick response Bert.

I can't seem to get this to work. Are these scanned items in the Imported Items already? When I right click, I get no option to rotate the item.

Also (trying to match Bert's frequent complaints about the sadly challenged AC Letter Writer) I'd like to bring up my request to fix the Imported Items Folders so that they stay closed when double-clicked. C'mon AC folks -- they snap open and closed, that's the hard part -- now get 'em to stay closed!

On all my charts - pick an imported item (mine are all pdf) and right click - make sure you have clicked the item on the left part of the screen so the right side shows the item - then hover over the item on the right and right click should give you a set of things you can do which includes rotate item.

Steven,

It works BECAUSE they are PDF. It is using the already enclosed feature of PDF. If you try it with other documents, it isn't going to work.

Works on all my documents in F.A.P., though. Oh, yeah, they are all PDF, lol.

John,

Sadly, at least from where I am sitting, the price we pay for CCHIT certification (which I know needs to be done) and building a PM, is way less time working on the little things that could be improved.

Bert,

Yeah, I know, but they could throw us a little bone now and then.

Also, thanks to you & Steven for the tip.

Has anyone noticed that the Import Items folders can't be minimized now?

I'm not on windows 7 on my desktop and our server is Server 2005. Good to know that if/when we upgrade that will be fixed.
