I've given up on wating for the AC PMR.
I am looking at Total MD and I have the demo version on the system.
Any thoughts on this product?
Thanks

Frank, I am holding on for dear life waiting for AC to develop their PM but I did some research about a year ago and looked at several PM programs (I think I posted my findings) and I liked TotalMD. The one thing I remember though is that they advertise some ridiculously low price which as I dug in deeper I realized that the simple advertised version would not work for my 1+ doctor office. After all was said and done, I think the price ended up somewhere just over $1000 + some support fee. Let me know if you discover anything different.

Bill,
I can't wait any longer.
You are correct aout the pricing.
It will be about $1000.00 for the software and I will need to use a more expensive clearing house (APIdex?).
The demo is not the complete version but there is supposed to be 60 day money back on it.
I am waiting for a reference from them .

I have been waiting for the AC PM software seems like forever. I wonder about the progress. It seems like it is a fantasy.

I have been trying to use Total Md for the last 4 months without success. Every time charges are imported it produces duplicate patients. The tech support was very nice but too slow in trying to resolve the issues, weeks would go by without contact. I was using their ASP model and I am in the process of trying to get cedit back for what I had paid. At this time I would stay away from them.

Thank you Dr. Alessandro,
TotalMd has told me that the integration was clan. They have not been able to produce a referral as requested. this could be the reason.

I have been waiting for the AC PM software seems like forever. I wonder about the progress. It seems like it is a fantasy. AC is a progressive work in progress, I believe that the PM section would have been done, but was derailed by the stimulus "requirement" that seemed to require CCHITT (it still has not been finalized, but everyone acts like its a done deal.) I'm sure they could not have afforded to ignore the stimulus push to go electronic, this probably derailed PM. Last thing I saw on the UB was that it might be coming by the end of the year. I went with MTBC 18 months ago because I could not wait, and I tried in house with Office Ally but ran into problems. I am still waiting but have learned to be patient. Good things come to those who wait! I hope

The patient's expectation is that you have all the answers, sometimes they just don't like the answer you have for them

Hey guys
I use TotalMD and Gateway EDI as a clearinghouse and after a 2-3 month learning curve we are finally filing clean! I started late December, and our last batch had only 3 rejections! Best of all, Gateway is so good at keeping track of what is not paid, it is just a matter of resubmitting the failed efiles, so you don't lose any in the shuffle. The transition from AC to TotalMD requires you to "polish" each submission (ie add a clia number or referring provider number) but is otherwise clean.
Take care

What happened with MTBC? I have been using their 4% billing plan since 2008 and have been fairly satisfied. What am I missing?
