Looks like these two don't play well together. In fact, I can't even install PaperPort Version 11 on the machine running 7. Anyone else find a way to deal with this (other than spending $99 for V12)?

I do not think they have a free version. There is one bundled with some brother faxes.

Please tell us how you use IRFANVIEW. I love the idea of free shareware. Thanks.

Download from www.irfanview.comThis site answers all your questions.http://www.irfanview.com/faq.htm#Q31 I use THUNDERBIRD for incoming faxes and IRFANVIEW to view them. 2. You can also use IRFANVIEW to use view your scanned documents from your office scanner instead of PAPERPORT. Send me a PM with what set up you have in your office. GRENVILLE

Grenville, I was going to PM you, but I think your set-up may be of interest to many other users, so I am putting this on the board. For starters, I am very interested in your system for handling faxes. I am quite familiar with Thunderbird, but I am not aware that you can use it to manage faxes. I can't find any info about this on the Thunderbird site, either. Can you explain, please?

Thank you, thank you! I've been looking for a program that will do what irfanview does for ages!
Now it takes us way fewer clicks to get our faxes converted to pdf's and in the right folder!
Thank you so much for putting this on the board for all to see!

I am still trying to understand this... 1.I can't see any way to have Thunderbird accept faxes, unless you pay for a fax-to-email service. 2. What does irfanview do that Paperport does not? It says it should batch convert tiff's to pdf's, but it will not for me.
