I'm still evaluating AC and have a question - can I generate a superbill BEFORE the chart is signed? The way I work, I need time after the patient encounter to import data from another program and would like to issue a superbill to the patient. I plan to use AC totally solo at a small satelite office. Any ideas?

Dom,

I also use a paper superbill upon which I write patient instructions, consultant appointments and follow up appointments. I would love to have the ability to design my own superbill but it is not possible in AC. Perhaps it will be possible when the PM module comes out.

Leslie,
Thanks for your input. I guess if I want to use AC, I'm going back to paper superbills!

This is a point of some frustration for us, as well. We would like to be able to design a superbill in AC. We switched to AC from Medical Mastermind. We use blank (non-patient specific) superbills that we designed in Mastermind. They have a list of our common visit codes at the top and common diagnoses at the bottom. The secretary at the front desk takes one off the pile, writes the patient's name on it, and gives it to me when I see the patient. I check a diagnosis and a cpt, and at the bottom put the patient's follow-up and any tests to be ordered. I give that to the person who "checks-out" the patient.
My billing is done out of the office, so the super goes to the billing service with demographics from AC.
