Does anyone know how to use AC to send a letter to all active patients - something akin to mail merge?
I want all of my active patients to know that I am now outsourcing billing and how that works for them.
Thanks Dr.Dinosaur

I have talked with programmers at AC and they are looking into how to do this, but currently there is no way other than going into each chart and entering.
You would probably have more luck using whatever you use for billing to generate a mailmerge type letter - you could also use the export function and export all mailing addresses and then generate labels with a generic letter. I guess I would decide on if this is worth the expense - many practices use outsourced billing and this could be included with their first bill or you could put it in envelopes generated by your PM software and just mail it.

Dinosaur and steve:
You could export your patient lists (exporting demographics). Delete the columns you don't need for the letters, and then mail merge.

Go to "reports". Select "notes and encounters" DATE greater than whatever you want to define as "active". Run report. Select all records (cntrl A) Right click on any line, select "send letter to patient". I think that will work.
