DoctorWAW,
A couple of things first <G> I was hoping to get your first name sometime, if possible. Also, if you don't mine, when you refer to another post if you could provide the link and number, it would make it easier to find it

I'm sorry you had that problem. I went back and tried to create the error. Ironically, the very first time I tried it, it did the same think. But, then I was able to add Ortho Novum about 15 times without a problem. I tried a few scenarios but couldn't recreate the error. As you are probably aware, recreating the error is the first step in solving it. First, if could let me know which version of Access you are using and which version of Amazing Charts. I think I read in one post that you are using close to the nearest one if not the nearest one. Also, please email me a badams remove@riverviewpediatrics.org (of course, remove the word remove, lol) and let me know step by step how you are adding Ortho novum. I know you said you have added meds before, but it would be helpful. Here are some things to try in the meantime:
1. Open Access and use Detect and Repair to see if it is corrupted or damaged.
2. There should be a compact database in Access as well. I wish I could be more helpful, but I just upgraded to 2007 on every PC, and I forget where those are.
3. When you add the med and then delete the MedNames and MedsDetail tables, after you shut down and restart AC, check in both tables to make sure the drug is in there. My guess is if the new medication is not in the database, then it may not to be in the two tables. As you know, you never delete Listings and Formulations. Whether you can find the Detect and Repair and/or the Compact Database, it's probably a good idea to run the Amazing Utilities wrence in the AC folder. I would run both the fix databases and Compact and Maintain your databases. I do the latter about every one to two weeks anyway.
4. If you are having trouble only in the lastest version, go back to an older version and try it there. If you don't have an older version, and I would highly recommend keeping all executable install files, I could send you one. If the problem lies in the new version only, please let me know right away so I can either come up with a patch or determine what the issue is. Please email me or PM me with that.
5. You may want to download another version, but if you have added a lot of meds, this may be probelmatic. Of course, you can always open your updated database, right click on the ID column and choose A to Z, sort smallest to largest. This will put your newest additions at the bottom; and you can copy and paste.
6.This probably doesn't matter but make sure to delete the two bottom tables, MedNames and MedsDetail when you delete as well as add meds.
Let me know how this works out.
