I am curious to know if anyone has used televox service. They are associated with mytestresults.com Apparently the large group in the area has been using it. I am wondering how expensive it is? Anyone have experience?

We have used a couple of companies, not Televox for phone reminders and labs.

We are a small practice and found that out that our no show and cancellation rate actually went up with the phone reminders. It was just too easy to push a button and cancel the night before when they are tired. Although it takes a lot of more time to personally call, we are back to our almost 0% noshow and very few cancellations.

We are in a rural area and the folks found calling in for their labs confusing. I also found that it used the same amount of my time because I either had to record the calls or send a note to my nurse to record. I still send a note to my nurse and she calls them. That is more time on her part, but the patients like that personal touch.

In a bigger practice, I think it would be very useful.

The last company we were with was wonderful. The problems were not because of them, it was more because of the personal nature of our practice. It is called Tavoca. They are probably the most reasonably priced service that I found.

PS THIS IS ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF WHY I WISH WE HAD A MEMBERS ONLY
SECTION WITH ENCRYPTION.

I do not understand the post script above. Why to have a members only section, and members of what?
