Jonathan,
Have you considered the opportunity for allowing AC users to invest in the company and take an ownership position (albeit small)?
Thanks,

Then he would have "stockholders." Not sure if he really wants that.

Yeah, and then he has to please the stockholders with juicy profits. No.

Maurice,
It may be a good idea or a bad idea. That would be up to Jon to decide. Either way, I don't think he is going to talk about it directly on the board. You would probably need to email him.

I don't think I would expect a profit. I think it would be valuable to influence the direction of future development. Although a beta testing/focus group might accomplish the same thing. As good as these boards are in answering user questions and concerns, and general camaraderie, we usually just dig up bugs and make specific requests. There is not enough organization and depth to provide input into development.

John, As I looked back at my previous post, I realize it sounded kind of snotty. Not intended that way. Sorry. I think a focus group sounds like a great idea.

I just like being a part of something bigger than me! It doesn't happen that often!

There is not enough organization and depth to provide input into development. I wish there were a bug tracker so we could see when a bug had been picked up. There is a stupid bug (fairly descriptive) in the HC for infants. I sent in a bug report, but I want to be able to tell my nurse definitely that there will be a fix. It bugs me.
