hi
i am a newbie here
i have been playing around with latest ver 4.0.72 of amazing charts and the problem that i am encountering is that i am unable to create a new note, the cc and hpi get populated with the previous encounter
i think its good for a lot of visits but patients sometimes present with with new cc and i have to erase cc and hpi form previous encounter before i am able to create a new one
moreover, next to change date window the only options that i have for arrow down is "use a past encounter as a template for the visit" and previous dates visits and "reset changes" but NO option for new note creation

any help or suggestions would be appreciated

go to the file menu under new note and choose Blank Note (clear all fields) This will clear all the fields.

Perhaps this will save you a step:
press CTRL-N, and the CC, HPI, ROS, P.E., Assessment, Plan will all be wiped clean.
The PMHx, Social Hx, Allergies, FamHx all remain intact.

of course, you are welcome.
Glad it's working better for you now.

The great thing about this forum is that many users find "hidden" features of the program, or better said features that everyone doesn't know about.

For example, Bert told me when I first started using AC is that right clicking virtually anywhere will reveal quick options that would only be found by clicking in multiple other areas. I spend half of my day right clicking in AC now.

You should find the reliability and ease of documenting in AC very time efficient, especially w/ the use of templates. For exmaple, we template almost everything. We have numerous lab templates for a whole variety of panels that we commonly order. I template most of my common types of visits like URI, sinusitis, Osteopathic Manipulation, procedures like skin biopsies or TPI's/joint injections or skin removals.

Enjoy AC!

Actually, I had forgotton about CTRL-N, and did not realize that the PMH, SH, FH and AL remain. Guess I don't use that one. I thought it blanked the entire note.
