Is there any way to change or remove a reminder already generated? e.g. labs get done during hospital stays or other providers perform tests that were in my reminder system. Any way to change or delete these reminders? Thanks.

If I am understanding your question, if the reminder is in your inbox, you simply highlight it and click on delete. If there are multiple ones in the future, you can double click on your clock in the system tray and set the time to the future. This will allow all of the reminders to show up and you can click on delete all and choose the ones you wish to delete. I tried to edit them. You can put your open a reminder for the patient and click on show reminders. It appears as though you could edit from there, but you can't. But, that would be a crazy workaround anyway. You really should be able to edit them, I agree. You can only do it directly from the database.

Here's my two cents.... I'd really like to have the ability thru let's say the Admin section, to have an authorized person, be able to look at any and all emails and reminders. We really like to kind of see our reminders coming and plan for them instead of just having them pop-up on a certain date. Our doc or me the PM should be able to keep an eye on such things, see that they are being attended to or not, that sort of thing... What if the staff member a reminder is assigned to is sick for a number of days as an example? It shouldn't just sit there and do nothing, right? Right now our MA Michele is top notch but our last one left much to be desired, I should be able to observe and supervise such stuff, it's important.

Paul,
I haven't used the reminders much, so I may not completely understand your concerns. Before reminders when I worked at a much larger office, we used to have different people watch others inboxes. Then, we changed that to just the office manager. Of course, all of our passwords were the same. Didn't see a whole lot of benefit to having different ones since there is no auto logoff, etc.
I guess you could set the notice to come up two weeks in advance and have the actual date in the message. Again, not sure all of the functions. It would be nice if it were like Outlook's reminders that have a "snooze bar" on them. I suppose it would also be possible to set the actual date and then make a separate one to remind you a week earlier. Just some ideas.
You could also have everyone copy all of them to you so that you could double check each one to be sure. Isn't medicine great?

Bert, Remember what you said about "false" providers? We still have one in our system and AC knows all about this. He's obviously a fake because his name is Raymond Reminder... We were using Raymond as our reminder system before there was the system in the system might we say. In many ways I still like dear old Raymond better. He's right there on the schedule and anybody and everybody in the office can see him. So if I slip up perhaps you will still catch it. Also, you can look at any provider's schedule in week sized bites so you can look ahead a few weeks, back a few weeks how ever you like. I was hoping that the reminders would look more like a fake schedule that all could see. Then we could assign different ones by name and or by color to who ever should handle any one in particular...

I agree. We had a false provider but he lost his license due to not having enough CME. Very sad.

Oh, definitely a pediatrician. A FP would never let his/her CMP lapse...
