I have been having trouble posting the last few days. Some go through, like this one, some do not. Some say my server is not being recognized??? Anyone else having similar problems?

I am posting this here because I cannot get it to go through in any of the other places.
I just downloaded the update a few days ago and still have a number of concerns. Although there are a few nice new features, there are still several old issues that are not getting addressed. The allergy section is still very poor. We need the ability to add allergies without creating a new encounter. We also need to have much more room for the allergies. Some of my patients have 10-15 medications which they say they cannot take.
Secondly, although a concern expressed by almost everyone on this forum, the medication database needs to be alterable. I need to be able to add new meds and delete duplicates or things I never ever use.
Thirdly, another concern most all of us have, we need to be able to open two charts at the same time.
Fourth, I would like the ability to assign my own account numbers, as my patients already had account numbers prior to using AC. This could be set in preferrences to either manually assign or default to the next available number.
Fifth, I do not want new ICD/CPT codes to automatically overwrite the ones I have labored to add in language I can easily find and understand.
Sixth, I would like to have the abililty to call up all reminders for every user on a daily basis. If an employee is on vacation or leaves, it is cumbersome having remaining employees go through their reminders. And, sending me a copy of those reminders just clutters up my inbox even more. It is already cluttered with all the stuff requiring my signature. Also, perhaps there should be another reminding feature for appoinment recall only. I really don't need to have it show up in the patient's chart that he needs to return in July for a complete exam. But I do need to be able to be reminded to call him if he has not made an appointment by the end of June. Right now, my PM program allows me to do this but, it would be nice for AC to take over this feature. And I don't need all of these appointment recalls cluttering up my or my employees' inboxes.
For the most part, I have been well-pleased with AC. However, I am very disappointed with this "new" update which has not really addressed many of the most critical old issues.

I struggled with the issue of posting and was getting a denial because of firewall or other issue per the user board. But found the way to fix it was to click on the bottom left of the page where it says MY COOKIES. Then on that page click EXPIRE COOKIES. It takes off only one cookie at a time and I found I had multiple cookies (2 or 3). So keep clicking expire until the page lists you as having no cookies. Then click logout in the top right of the screen (if that didn't log you out already). Then click LOGIN. NOTE- due to a bug in this user board you MUST login twice to be recognized as logged in. Then you should be able to post. Good luck

Thanks for the tip...it seems to be working more often than not at the moment. I 've never had this issue with any other forum, but am not familiar with the UBB.threads platform.

Somewhere between adding the Quest Interface and the next version this message board problem needs to be addressed. While allowing cookies or not is a personal choice on one's PC for a myriad of reasons, I have never had a cookie stop me from doing something I wanted to do. It's like I write a long post and then pray it goes through.

Hi, Bert (and the rest of the gang),

I actually discussed this with Jon this morning. There is a new, somewhat less buggy version of this board's software out, and once Jon has some of the stuff he's working on out of the way, he will upgrade the board. I know that the cookie thing is annoying (I have to log in twice each time for it to recognize me, among other annoyances), but some of this is going to depend on the costs involved. Another possibility is to move to an open-source software forum and migrate the existing messages to a new platform.

Just about all of the forum software systems though require a cookie. Most modern browsers allow you to set exceptions on cookies - so can allow them only on a selected list of your favorite websites (like this forum, for example! :-) )

Anyway, be patient - it's getting fixed soon.

Yeah, but the problem isn't that it requires a cookie. Its that you have to clear them. I also do some gaming and post on several game forums. I have NEVER had to clear my cookies in order to post. Maybe ALLOW cookies for that website, but not clear them.

Is a bug in the cookie handling in the board's system. You should be able to post if you log out and log back in again.

I just love buggy code that I can't fix...

Log out and log back in again.. The board is buggy.. it's getting fixed soon. Try this instead of deleting the cookies, it should work.
