I either print HCFAs from AC or upload them to Office Ally. All of my Medicare claims have been rejected because AC is prepopulating box 25 on the HCFA with my correct Tax ID but is marking it as a SSN rather than EIN. Anyone else have this problem and anyone know how to fix it? Is there a way to change the info that AC autofills into the HCFA?
TIA!

there was an old post (using AC ver 3) here somewhere about a doc that was able to do what you're doing seamlessly, but i haven't figured out the trick yet, and not sure of changes since ver 4 w/ exporting bills to OA

I have also had difficulty when printing the hcfa forms from AC The facility box and the provider boxes are not correctly filled in. The facility NPI is now populating the box for the provider NPI.
I have checked the accuracy of the data on the Administrator area and it has been correctly input. I am at a loss as to why there isn't a master hcfa form to complete and save with the repetitive data that needs to be duplicated and accurate for each hcfa claim to be processed correctly.
Does anyone have any other suggestions. I have called Guardian Angel support, they told me I could manually edit the corrections and it should automatically be saved for use with other hcfa forms, but that is not happening.
Does anyone else print/upload the hcfa data directly from AC?
Thanks
Jennifer

Got a fix from the great Claire at the Help Desk! If you pick one HCFA, manually make the change that you want, then click print form that saves the info. and the rest of your HCFAs should be prepopulated with the correct info. I just chose one patient, opened up account info., clicked on Print CMS-1500 at the bottom right, clicked on EIN, then clicked print form. Then all of the rest of my HCFAs had EIN chosen rather than SSN. Thank goodness b/c it would have been a serious problem if I had to change each and every HCFA. BTW, I did the same thing for box 13 - typed in Signature on File and now that is prepopulated in the other HCFAs. I've only opened 2 other HCFA so I hope this continues to work. I don't know if it needs to be done on every workstation computer...

Didn't completely read your post until after I posted mine, Jennifer. Looks like you were told the same thing that I was and it sounds like it's not working for you. I'll have to exit AC and try this trick on other workstations to see if it continues to work for me...
