We send and save a lot of messages/reminders. When a message is saved, it saves a blank patient record. I then have to cut and paste all the data back in the next time I see the patient.
It would be nice to be able to save messages without the generation of a blank patient record.

How do you generate the message? I use the e-mail and addendums to do this and never generates a blank record. Explain how you do a message or reminder and maybe we can see how to help.

If I understood correctly, your staff send you messages without clipping the patient record? If that the case, you must instruct them that if the message is related to a patient then they must clip the patient record to the message so it can be save w/o needing any extra cut/paste.

Will try to clarify: When I have a chart open and send a reminder to a nurse from within the chart using the sticky message. The next time a chart is opened, all the previous pt info is gone.
I have done some exploring and have been able to find an acceptable work around by going to the dropdown menu of which record to use for that particular day's note.
