The Zone Alarm Firewall is stopping me from using V4 (successful install. sort of. with Clair and Jodie's help. and eric.) I have gone in and given V4 super trusted access and access to the server, but still if ZA is turned on I cant run V4. Any suggestions?

Also, while I can access V4 on the main admin user (on the main pc yeno when I switch it to the other user it tries to re-install V4. As if I didnt pick "Allow anyone on this computer to use this program." But I did. Twice. yes I know i shouldn't be using "server" for other things, but that is another discussion.

I run XP Pro. Any idea how to get V4 to not ask to be reinstalled?

What I found about the reinstall for auxillary windows logons is that the first time it tries to reinstall and fails, then you click on AC and it will open. This will only happen once, if you open AC during that session or it will try to reinstall the next time yoiu open that logon. After the second time opening AC, everything works well from then on. I had to do that to every account because I had to connect them to the server all over. six accounts x 5 computers)

Not sure about Zone alarm.

SQL Server listens on TCP/IP Port 1433. Make sure those ports are open for inbound and outbound traffic.

We are a GO with V4!!! On the secondary user id on windows, I went ahead, as suggested, and let it try to install it again. Received a "Fatal Error." Then tried to open AC again and it activated just fine. I had to do this on each computer.

I imported some labs this morning, and scanning still works.

When I went to pull up an imported lab, it was AMAZING how quickly the CHARTS opened imported labs when compared to previous versions.

Jon has improved the Appointment Quest Import. It now imports the new patient's birthday and address. THANK YOU JON!

I had a tough time yesterday, and at the end of the day I felt like a beaten and abused puppy. I told the MA I might cut my own wrist.

Today, I'm a new man! When she gets in, I'm gonna ask her "WHO DA MAN?!"

Then I will have her do an EKG on our fake patient James T. Kirk to verify the Midmark interface still works.

oh, I still have Zone Alarm problems. Basically, I cannot activate "Program Control" without it blocking access to the SQL database. Otherwise, all is well. wooo hoooo

Oh, one more odd thing. Everytime i log onto AC now I get a message saying that "I am being supplied a service by a vendor that needs me to upgrade to a new version of AC. Please contact AC to have them cut off this service."

huh? what's up with that?
