Please don't give confirmations of everything that is saved or done. We should have the confidence that if it says it will do it, it is done. It is so time consuming to having to click on the button. If it's done, it's done. Also wish I didn't have to click on another button here. Wish I could just type my suggestion and go back to work

Yikes! Exactly where are you getting these confirmation pop-ups? Do you have pop-ups turned off in user preferences under Edit in the main window? Also wish I didn't have to click on another button here. Wish I could just type my suggestion and go back to work Not sure what you are referring to here. Do you mean clicking on the submit button?

They are turned off. Every time I "sign off" on an imported item I get a confirmation despite the fact that my preference is not to get confirmations.

Can you make up a provider and send all imports there? Then sign them off at the end of the day? I don't know I don't use imported items. This is one of the reason. The whole proces is a pain for me. Remember, Microsoft themselves are the kings of confirmation pop ups. Plus, I don't use web mail partially for the reason. Let's see: Delete, go to trash, delete, Do you really want to delete, delete.

You can have a provider who is not active and you send all the 'junk mail' to. We have some paper still, maybe a copy of something sent with the patient and we scan it into the chart, but it is something I originated and I already signed, so I don't want to sign it again. We used to send it to a physician who was not active and then periodically just go in all sign all of her inbox at once. Very handy, BUT that was a licensed provider that we paid for with the hope she was joining our group. She didn't, I inactivated her, ... and my inbox is full of junk mail again, (sad, crying smiley face).

Martin,
I don't see where you would have a problem with a fake provider. We have used "Labs" "Signatures," etc. and gave the full status. You have even paid for a license so you may as well use it.
I don't even mind posting this. I think it is all about intent. If you have two doctors using AC and you are only licensed for one, that is a breech of contract. If you have one doctor "using" AC, and you make a few fake ones in order to better utilize AC by doing workarounds, I would not think that would be wrong. In much the same vein (sp?), I have suggested to users they could have another doctor just for a blank schedule to either use for other reasons or to have a blank screen for HIPAA compliance.

I will look into that. Even if it was a mid-level and we could just dead end the sign-offs into that bin we would be good.

Martin,
I am pretty sure it has to be a Level 1 provider.

Many moons ago we used to use a fake provider as a work around for not having a reminder system and so "Dr. Raymond Reminder" had his own schedule that we could look at and even look down the pike at his schedule to see what was coming later and not be blind sided by lots of stuff.
So if we wanted to see a patient back in 3 months he got an appointment with Dr RR for three months from that date and so as that month came up we would review Ray's schedule and start making call backs and F/U's. I told Carlos at AC about this and they were fine with all that. In some ways I still miss Ray because of the calender nature of his schedule, but now that we can click on and see all reminders we can still look down the road so to speak.
Anyway, I agree with Bert, it is your intent here. Are you simply attempting to remedy a situation so things work well for you and that you have honestly paid for the number of providers that are actually gaining the benefits of AC, if so then you are cool.
Heck I even have myself set-up as a provider because there is no All Access practice manager type account and I'm the one who does all the computer stuff around here, so I need to be able to test or perform any and all functions to make sure the system works for Nancy. But I created a title and all things print with my signature and title as PM not doc, so the record is always clear who created what and when. I do create some letters in the patients files when communicating for Nancy in my capacity as her PM especially when I'm fighting one of the Cartels for a record request or what have you and the system records them as mine and not hers. Also this way if by accident while playing around in a chart for a test it is clear who did what and that this was a simple human error while the PM was messing around inside the system and not the doc herself...
Intent and honesty.. Email Carlos or Jon and let them know what you are up to if it makes you feel better and pay for all the full time clinical staff who treats the patients, NP, PA, and Doc's and you should be totally cool and safe. But it is nice that all of us are as honest as this because we have a company that we care about their success, and both sides seem to have the same goals in mind... A good product with a good relationship between the vendor and the client, end users. And isn't that refreshing in this business, especially the EMR side where everyone else just seems to want to pick our pockets and tap into our cash flow for their own selfish means.... Ahhhh, Waterbury VT, and Ben & Jerry's.... Apple, MAC Ipod's and yes AC.... Very cool indeed....
