I know this topic has come up few times and I have been thinking about it, but never ever considered options.
We have been AC user since 2005-6, and still remember the days when Dr Jon and @bert would keep talking. I spoke to Jon few times gave him ideas on how to convert from Access Db to sql server etc.
Anyway, I have played less and less role, and keep the server infra and AC running at my wife's renal practice. The docs put up with me and the staff tolerates me with my slow speed of getting to the tech stuff. I have moved from running on windows servers to running them in VM's and backing up the VM's on a daily basis. Hardware is cheap and storage is cheaper, but AC is getting slower and slower and every year they are getting expensive.
I want to move to a Cloud based offering, either I can host it in my own cloud account or offer to me as service.
I have seen some discussion around Praxis and one physician just going ga ga over it. Has anyone tried OpenEMR? I was thinking I shall install it and play around.
Anyone with suggestion. Key is "migration" and how much data can I still keep
