Interesting Question. Our office is small, 7 employees including myself. Overall our staff has had little turnover over the last decade, one medical assistant left last summer. Her family has a photography business, they lost an employee and asked her to take that position, which she did.

We advertised and got 1 resume. One. 3 or 4 years ago, the last time that position was open, we probably got 50 resumes, with at least 5 or 6 looking like good candidates.

We hired her, and she has worked out well.

The hospital is begging for nurses. Restaurants have cut back hours. But, fortunately, it has not really affected our office.
