This is an excerpt from my conversation with Tech support:
Customer [011] (15:27:13):
All your interfaces have ala carte interface fees
Rebecca (15:29:46):
Right, unfortunately this change doesn't come from us. Midmark updated their software and needed us to use this new Midmark software. Unfortunately there's nothing more I can do, Midmark charges for this now, it's not something we made a decision about.
Customer [011] (15:30:31):
Midmark said they made the change 3 YEARS AGO.
Customer [011] (15:30:43):
the system worked fine until YOUR update
Rebecca (15:30:55):
Okay there's nothing I can do for you
Rebecca (15:31:04):
You need to contact them, they are changing for this
I had hoped she would say, "don't worry, we are working on this and should have a solution in 2 weeks".
Instead I got, talk to Midmark.
Midmark wants $500 per machine to update. They say it will take 3 hours, per machine, to make the connection.
Their other option is to install their proprietary software
$200 software
$30/year support fees
$175 install fee (not waivable)
