I enjoyed the early conferences from the Bertman and Pri-Med era. I think the staff got a lot out of them from my discussions with them. I know there were changes made based on input from those conferences. I've only been to the local Harris conferences and they seemed more to push the add one and not as much teaching. Seems to be a lost opportunity
Conferences are expensive to host and to attend but you hopefully get what you pay for if they are properly planned.
It appears Harris is satisfied to babysit the product without a lot of development. That's too bad.

Health care is evolving into a data driven field and would be best suited to one player with one set of rules. There are too many self interests to allow it to aggregate into a single entity. We could provide much more reliable care with a consistent system and it would be more efficient and effective.
