I see it. Yes this is how I usually see if there is an open chart. So I guess there maybe a glitch in my system where I will get "the notice" even though there are no charts open. Now I do have unsigned charts in the messages and I have many of them parked there usually over a hundred, and perhaps the system is having a hard time managing these parked charts. Why do I have a hundred. Two reasons some are no shows and many of those I have transferred data from soapware and if I close the chart I will lose the data so I keep them in the messages until the patient reschedules so I don't have to redo the info. This is something that is a pain with AC it won't keep data in the chart without signing off, except in the smoking and family and medication history. The other charts are charts I will see in the coming week, that I review and make notes prior to seeing the patient, this is something I will probably end soon. Now that I am getting more familiar with AC and have less and less patients that are new whose data is still in soapware.
