Hi Dr Leeson,

Try using the addendum to document walk in flu shots. Here is the procedure for that:

- Right click on the patients name and select "Add Chart Addendum"
- Change the type to "Procedure"
- Enter the chief complaint" in the subject (ex: Walk In Flu Shot)
- Click the "Vaccines and Heath Maintenance" button on the right
- Document the immunization as normal and click "Save and Close"
- you will see the immunization information documented in the addendum.
- Click the option at the bottom for "Save as Addendum"

Doing this will prompt you to create a superbill, select yes to create a superbill for the charge.

Doing it this way will prevent the charge from showing up on a future visit. Also your nurses can do this and create the superbill without having you to sign a chart. I hope this makes it easier for you.
