I went ahead and upgraded because we wanted a couple of the new features (multiple preferred pharmacies, spellcheck as you type).
I was disappointed to find that the option for "starts with" or "contains" when searching for meds was limited to the prescription writer only; I wish it had been including in the current medication list. I can't tell you how tired I am of scrolling through all the entries for esomeprazole when I type omeprazole.
We are also experiencing significant performance issues. Opening a chart, closing a chart, or saving it to an inbox is taking an significantly longer time than with 7.1.3. I've timed it and it can take up to 10s for a chart to close and return me to the main program screen. Hopefully this will be fixed in 8.2.
