The big issue is the internet. If you are running a virtual machine and turn off the internet interfaces, you should be fine.... BUT
Do you need to connect into AC? That would require a NIC (interface card equivalent)
Do you need to connect to update lytec (ditto)
Do you need to send out information to the clearinghouse (againg, ditto)

Likely, you need an internet interface/NIC equivalent. If that is the case, you are at risk.
