Since it is an XP thread...what about running Lytec in an XP virtual machine behind Windows 7 Pro, where lytec is only used to collect patient demographics and make patient schedule. Think there is a concern since not going out into cyberspace anywhere with Lytec?
The big issue is the internet. If you are running a virtual machine and turn off the internet interfaces, you should be fine.... BUT
Do you need to connect into AC? That would require a NIC (interface card equivalent)
Do you need to connect to update lytec (ditto)
Do you need to send out information to the clearinghouse (againg, ditto)
Likely, you need an internet interface/NIC equivalent. If that is the case, you are at risk.
