The doc I'm assisting got an email from AC on Feb 24, stating that AC will not support Win XP and/or Server 2003 as a "main" or "server" computer after Apr 8, since these will no longer be HIPAA compliant. Does this mean that "client" computers running Win XP still be OK, since there are no AC data on those computers?
I've read stuff that it's probably OK if no internet connection, but also read other stuff that as long as data is "sent" to the "client" computer with Win XP for display and editing, there is a risk, and not HIPAA compliant at that point.
Any opinions on keeping the Win XP "client" computers after Apr 8 and still be HIPAA compliant?
